Head Club Decoy

In 2000 Dean received Darla, a female German shepherd, and shortly after began training her in French Ringsport. At the age of 11, Dean competed in his first trial and became one of the youngest handlers in NARA history. Three years later, Dean tried for French Ringsport Level 1 Decoy Selection and although he received a passing score, was not able to official claim the title due to age regulations. At the age of 15 Dean became the Head Decoy for Extreme Ring Dogs. Dean has competed with Blitz, his Belgian Malinois, and received first place in the Brevet with a score of 98.6; he was only 16. He also received first place with Blitz for Ring 1 with a score of 189.8.

Mike PorterMIKE PORTER
FrRing1 Decoy; Police Decoy; Club Decoy

Mike grew up with dogs and trained them through self-taught methods. It wasn’t until his dog got in a fight that he realized he needed professional training support and turned to Tim Welch, Founder of Redefined Dog Training. Through observing the incredible progression of his dog during training with Tim, Mike became interested in the various training opportunities that existed. After acquiring knowledge in training theory, Mike began working as a decoy for French Ringsport. He has since completed the NARA Level 1 Decoy Selection, become a certified decoy through Adlerhorst Kennels and currently works as an decoy for a number of local police departments.
