Dale Porterfield
Chances are, you've seen Dale at a So Cal ring trial. He is always helping us out! He is the treasurer of Extreme Ring Dogs and helps out with administrative duties.
Jeremy Grove
Jeremy works with Extreme Ring Dogs as a decoy. His training and decoy skills have proven to be a tremendous asset to the club!
Mike Porter
Mike recently started learning decoy work and has been decoying Extreme Ring Dogs for the past year.
Ron Skinner
Ron has heped us tremendously. He is always willing to jump in the suit and catch dogs at our practices and his training expertise has proven invaluable.
Debbie Skinner
Aside from producing some of the best working Malinois and Beaucerons, Debbie, along with husband Ron, is always available to offer invaluable training advice to club members.
 
 

 

 
 

Extreme Ring Dogs was founded in 2007 by Tim Welch, Dog Sport Enthusiast and professional Dog Trainer. The club is slowly gaining momentum in the Southern California area, meeting in San Diego as well as in Orange County.

Our Dog/Handler Teams:

Tim Welch, President- Tim is the founder of Redefined Dog Training, specializing in protection and anti-aggression training. He owns and handles Avatar (beauceron),Ba'Xian (Doberman) and Ginger (Dutch Shepherd).
Elizabeth McCartney, Secretary - Elizabeth has been involved with protection sports for 5 years. She recently took interest about 2 years ago in French Ringsport. She handles her Belgian Malinois, Breezee, who is 2 years old.She plans on getting another dog in 2008 to compete with in the sport as well.
Dean Porterfield, Lead Decoy - Dean has been involved with Ringsport and Protection work for 3 years. He currently owns and handles Blitz (Malinois) and Darla (GSD). He is also planning on getting his decoy selection this year.
Chris Libs is the owner of Skydance Ranch and Volant Kennels. She has extensive experience in Schutzhund and Agility and is now trying her hand at Ringsport. She owns and handles B'Bebop (Groenendale) and Finn (Malinois).
Meagan Karnes is the founder of Canine Behavior Associates, LLC and The Collared Scholar, Dog Training and Education companies in San Diego. She is also the co-owner of Metropawlitan Dog, an upscale doggy daycare in downtown San Diego. She owns and handles her two malinois, Cyrrah and Cuvee.
